"Photographs of objects, which we know to be real, are transformed into something else altogether (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/techniques/sculpting_with_light.shtml)."

Harold Ross is a master at this technique.

I thought the article very interesting and I do like the effect created by Harold. Only a few weeks ago I experimented with light painting - now I can see I have a long way to go!
Lighting can transform subjects and in the case of some of the examples I would agree.

This guy has practised for many many years.
And what we see obviously is the result of practise and persistence ....
Awesome!

I have enjoyed the article thoroughly.
Being more inclined to natural light, it is certainly one of the best uses of artificial light that I have seen in a long time and one of the things that is impossible to achieve with natural lighting.

Remember Aaron Jones and the Hosemaster units.

Some beautiful work indeed.

May I also recommend the beautiful work of my 'painting with light' teacher, Emil Schildt?

I just stumbled over this site and thought I'd share it.
This team of 2 creates so called "lightmarks" in landscapes
and thus produces beautiful and stunning images which
keep you wondering ....
