Title: Panorama Maker-ArcSoft
Post by: Garnick on September 18, 2013, 11:19:31 am
I'd like to get some feedback from anyone using Panorama Maker from ArcSoft.  I've researched a number of pano stitching apps and just received an email from ArcSoft with a $40 coupon for download.  Unfortunately I have very little information about this app other than from the website, so any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all.

I used it several years ago, and it did ok with simple panoramas. For large panoramas, I used Hugin (http://hugin.sf.net).

In the meantime, I shifted to OS/X, and at that stage, Hugin wasn't too stable on the Mac platform, so I bought Autopano Pro.  I used that to stitch a 320 image panorama.  Since the 2012 Hugin release, the stability improved, and the wizard works very well in most situations.

I'd recommend giving Hugin a decent try, and read through the tutorials.  Best of all, it's free!  If you don't mind spending some money, I can recommend Autopano Pro.
