Dark sanded beach.

I quite like it, the rough water and the dramatic sky are perfect but the bridge is not what I see first. I don't know whether it's good or not. Colors are wonderful.

+1. But not only do I not see the bridge at first, I don't see the bridge at all.

Well there isn't really a bridge, I just called that :) The rock formation looked like a bridge to me. The exposure for this one was tough, the sky was super bright and the rocks were totally black!! I could have brought the shadows up a bit but it started to look weird.

Yes there is no bridge, it is actually Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach Maui, the title was misleading sorry :P

Anyway, I like it!

I quite like the shot, but it is a little too overprocessed, a little too HDR-y for my taste.

I was thinking the OP had in mind a "land bridge."

Ciao,

Doug

Yes, to me the rock formation looked like a bridge because of the arch.

Yes, that fine line between recovering the highlights and trying to convey what you felt when you were there is very subjective. It had been raining very hard as it happens in Hawaii and when the sun came out and I was soaking wet I took the photo; it was a single hand held exposure but as usual when I got home it did not looked at all of what I saw and experienced. I tried to convey that without looking too massaged but that balance is very personal. I  am sure other photographers would approach the photo differently, I had iniatially thought of a Black and White.
