Back in 1977 would that have been the old original Bronica with the Nikkor optics.  The 50mm Nikkor for the Bronica was a much better lens that the 50mm Distagon of the era.  I worked with a 'Blad shooter at the time who kept a Bronica and 50mm just for his wide-angle shots.  I would watch from the sidelines with my Rollei SL66 and chuckle.

The Nikkor glass was decent ... I don't know  ~~ the  Rollei SL  was the camera I went to after the Bronica > still my favorite ~!  ;)

Mine too.  But after this many years I would hate to try and get one repaired reliably.  You inspired me to go back to 'Blad but it disappointed and so I am firmly entrenched with my 4x5.

The last Bronica I saw ...had a Biogon retro-fitted  into the front and was range finder coupled ...Really a piece of art .   I only moved to the Hassy for the leaf shutters > for commercial/weddings.  I have friends who still shoot 5X7 .  I really don't shoot art stuff anymore....way overloaded with images. ;D
