We'll be in Savannah starting June 19th for about a week. We'll certainly tour the historic areas, but we're more interested in the coastal areas. I've researched some of the wildlife refuges, etc. within a couple of hour's drive, but I'm sure I've missed a few. I'm wondering what peoples' favorites might be. This wouldn't be for birds—longest lens will be a 70-200mm; more scenics and magic hour shooting.
Thanks,
Merrill

I think what you're looking for will be better served by going to the islands south of Savannah - Jekyl, Cumberland, St. Simons, etc.

Thanks, John!

If you like B&W check out all the great cemeteries.

Just across the river in SC is the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. You can get to it from your in-town location in a half hour. I just tried to access the fws.gov site for the refuge, but the entire fws site seems down. An internet search would get you some other descriptions, though.
