Title: What about a trial of Aperture?
Post by: Morris Taub on June 02, 2013, 12:38:49 pm
I've gone to the app store twice now looking to download a trial but can't find one. I'm not that familiar with the app store, so maybe I'm missing it. Want to see how it compares to Lightroom before switching. See if it's better than it was years ago. I tried it when it was in its infancy and couldn't get along with it. That's why I tried Lightroom and eventually went this route. Now that Adobe is doing what it's doing I'm looking for alternatives. Thanks for any pointers.

According to the Apple site, the Aperture 3 trial version is no longer available. Aperture 4 will hopefully be along some time soonish, and that should bring a trial version with it.

ok, thanks Bill. Dang, I looked at apple's site too and found no 'software' section with Aperture in it. Maybe I'm just tired.

The link I have provided is for a trial version, the one you were looking for, I guess.

Yes, good morning Ario...thanks for the link...and never heard of 'aperture expert', so that will come in handy if I do switch.

Have to admit on my first try I didn't even find the Aperture link at Apple...then searched, up top, right, and found it.
