Title: What is the difference between those two Rodenstock lenses?
Post by: sbernthal on May 20, 2013, 01:32:16 pm
Does anyone know what's the difference between those two lenses:

Rodenstock 100mm f5.6 Apo Sironar-N
Rodenstock 100mm f5.6 Apo Sironar-S

I've tried googling, there's not a lot of information on the N, but there are plenty for sale.

I'm specifically interested in the image circle and recommended aperture range.

the S has a 155mm image circle and can use 49 mm filters, compared to to the N with a 151mm image circle and a 40mm filter thread. the S is supposed to be sharper.
