Title: From monitor (or camera even) to print.

Hi, I currently have my NEC PA241w calibrated with my old Spyder 3 Pro, however I'm planning on getting a printer, and obviously want everything calibrated to get my prints as close to the display as possible. I've decided that apart from a printer, I need some other stuff to get it all right. Ive decided to get the Epson 3880 as it should be plenty capable of producing the size, quality and small quantity of prints that I plan on making. So, I quess what I want to know is what would be the best thing to buy to get my prints matching my monitor. Was hoping to know if I would be missing anything by buying this, or if there is a better solution without spending much more. Making my own prints is something that I have had a deep interest in for some time, but not something I have had much hands on experience with - therefore I want to set up properly first time rather than messing around.

I'm about to paint and re-carpet the room I will be working on too in a neutral grey (will take a grey card with me to compare with paint samples, and to try and find a fairly neutral carpet). I hear Solux globes are the way to go, so unless I hear different I think I will go with them too. I also plan on setting up a basic print viewing area too.

The EyeOne Pro-2 is the hot ticket in terms of Spectrophotometer these days. Solux are great too. You seem to be on the right path.
