Thoughts please?

I think the bottom is a little too frenetic for the top. Some might enjoy the contrast but for me, it jars.

Just for fun I thought I'd see if I could tease a little more drama out of the shot. I came up with this.

Both are equally effective for me. Although both would be even stronger by cropping about 10% off the top. That reduces the negative space in the upper right and throws more emphasis into the more interesting blurred foreground. The anti-croppers amongst us might disagree.

I'm with Louoates on this.

I prefer Doug Frost's frighting undertow, though there may be room for compromise between the two. I wouldn't crop it.

As seems to happen when I see your pix, I like them the way they are.
I guess there must be something wrong with me, then.

VERY interesting shot. The movement confuses my eye, but at the same time, both that in the sky and the foreground draw me in to figure out the context, converging on the wave. I love the subtle pastels of the first, but the drama of the B/W version is interesting too, though somewhat more sinister. FWIW.

There is diffenently something wrong with me; I havn't seen the sea in years. I have come to expect it to do tricks like the other phenomenon on the screen or news. It has become harder to except that it is just there along with other things like the sky and shore. And is whatever color it pleases.

Thanks all for looking, I appreciate it.
Doug, your conversion scares me!
