Title: Rufous Antpitta (Ecuador)
Post by: Glenn Bartley on March 19, 2013, 11:12:01 am
Any day you photograph an Antpitta is a good day!

I managed to get this cute little fellow up on a nice perch for the participants of my recent Ecuador Workshop.

All the best!

What an alert antpitta. Great capture.  Thanks for sharing!

Really lovely.
In contrast to my statement about the owl, I like the highlights in this bird's eyes. Perhaps you need to start carrying special eye lights for various size eyes.  ;)

How do you choose ISO, Glenn? My 50D seems to get noisy above 400. You must shoot under pretty low light.
