Good evening - has anyone filmed sport topics with the nikon d800? Dynamic - fast processes? Are 60 frames enough? Or switch to Sony Fs700 or Red Epic systems?
I am wondering where is the limit of dslr filming.
I just shot fashion with prime lenses - there i love my d800 :-* http://vimeo.com/41012456
What are your experiences in this field?
What do you think?
thanks ;-)

Does the D800 have 60p - I dont think so!
60p is quite good but not super slow motion.
With a large sensor you big issue will be focus control IMO (if you want a tight framing)
The FS700 is the prime candidate for this shoot, on a budget
My Fs100 mainly at 60p with a nikkor 70-200
Watch the focus on the last shot and imagine that the action is moving twice as fast and it is at 2.8..

The D800 can do 60 frames but only at 720 lines (720p)

thanks for your feedback. I will rent a sony body with f mount - there still can use my nikon lenses...
Will there be a problem of mixing the raw footage from nikon and sony? (Noise differnce, colour....)

You may be able to alleviate the focus control a bit by using the DX crop mode. The bigger issue may be the rolling shutter if you're shooting fairly fast action. I've not tried it yet with mine, but I've read reports that the 720/60 resolution/image quality in the D800 isn't that great. This write-up (http://www.eoshd.com/content/9653/nikon-d5200-review) on the new D5200 alludes to it.
