Title: a ROTTEN exhibition
Post by: WalterEG on February 16, 2013, 05:18:54 am
Here is a link to some sample images from a photography project looking at food waste. Klaus Pichier kept rotting food in his Vienna apartment and then photographed it like luxury consumer products to emphasise the 'opulence' of waste when there are people who cannot be fed and yet a third of all food sold gets thrown out.

One Third — a rotten exhibition

One Third and Dust I liked; very interesting, I thought, without any negative reference to Rowan & Martin at all. The other galleries fell away into exactly what I think of as 'art photography' which might offer a sense of relief to Isaac, who wanted a definition from me... this is as close as I can get to one because words fail me at about that level: attention drifts... déjà vu echoes madly around inside the boney box.

Interesting headdress on Elvis in "One Third." I suspect an implication there.
