Nice one. Are you happy with the white balance? The mountain feels blue to me.

(Yes, I have calibrated my monitor.  :)  )

Reminds me of Dennis Moore (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLkhx0eqK5w), though the sky is too violet for my tastes.

Cheers,

I agree. The sky is a weird colour as well. It should be pretty straightforward to address.

I agree with the previous comments about the WB. The sky doesn't look good (especially on the right side). While my eyes tend to stay on the foreground with the vibrant flowers, I still see the sky…

This was a bad case of staring at the monitor too long.  Looking at this 12 hrs later, I'm not too happy with this edit at all.  I'll be re-engaging this photo when I get the chance.

Everything about this photo says "Gorgeous", but I agree that the top 1/2 needs some adjustments - perhaps a grad mask as well as slight colour balance "correction".

Agree - looks to cool to me in terms of WB, but has huge potential for awesome.

Could the color cast be the result of a graduated "neutral" density filter?  Some brands are know to produce casts.

Yes and No.  A lee neutral density filter was used and produced a very slight cast, but it was mostly just error on my part, after some global adjustments I made, it cooled down the photo too much.

Yeah, lee's generally don't have much of a cast.

On the plus side, the limestone on Timp is pretty close to 18% gray if you need to zero out your WB. :)

BTW, I'll agree with the others, this is a great shot.

I've put up the re-edit on this one.  I think it looks better, definitely more natural.

Yup. Really nice.

If the first version was left up it would provide a useful learning tool. OTOH we all want the best versions of our stuff displayed.

Yeah, the photo is linked to my Flickr stream and I like to keep my best photos up there.

I didn't see this prior to your edited post and am relieved to have read you did edit and repost as I was straining to see what others had pointed out!  ;D

What I do see in the image is some CA in the edges of the left hand peak and a little distortion on all edges.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with the image, one of the perfect times of year to shoot it with the lupin and others in flower.

God, what a view. Seems almost too nice to be real. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.
