Hello,
does anyone know very good books on studio photography, mainly product photography, with diagrams and good examples?

Highly recommended!
Without light, no image..., without good light, no good image...

"Secrets of Studio Still Life Photography" by Gary Perlweiler is dated (mid '80s) but still really good as well.
Also "Digital Still Life Photography: Art, Business & Style" by Steve Sint is solid as well.
Finally "Matters of Light and Depth" by former cinematographer and lighting equipment designer Ross Lowell is , along with "Light, Science, and MAgic" is another core foundation book to understanding how to make, shape and use light for creative and dramatic effect.
Once you have a practiced understanding of using light, you should work at continually experimenting melding techniques and tools as part of creating your own photographic "signature." Good lighting never comes out of a box on a shelf, it is part of your response to the subject and that is true even if all you are doing is photographing a client's products on a simple white background.
Best wishes!

Years ago there was a book called " Shooting your way to a million$" good straight forward book, bought it and never made a million but some of the articles were very handy. Peter

Also "Digital Still Life Photography: Art, Business & Style (http://books.google.com/books?id=0tSAtgAACAAJ)" by Steve Sint is solid as well.
What a thorough detailed book!

Not a book but a site worth visiting if you are looking to watch product photography.
