Dreadful weather across UK of late, ive had time to check through previous years images...one from the Alps, summer 2006 from the base of the midi arete Chamonix.

Great range of light, and contrast between the draped snow and toothy rock. Not many mountaineering shots are of this quality.
-
That really is a beaut

Nice job on the tones and a very satisfying composition. I'm a bit less keen on the burning in the sky - perhaps just a bit heavy on the left side?
-
Remarkable imagery in everyway!

How fortunate for everybody that you had enough bad weather to encourage you to pull this image out of exile. The composition and range of textures make it a real winner.

Felice and Brandtb ...thank you very much.

Beautiful BW shot. This one deserves a print.

Thanks Kajo...this one makes my print list, i get to spend much less time then id like in the Alps so they tend to be a bit special to me. I like your foot note in your profile, reminds me of a John Lennon quote..."Life is what happens to you when your busy making plans"
