The Leica Wrist Strap for Multi-Function Hand Grip for S2 Camera looks like it might work with the Nikon D800 with an RRS L-plate.
Anyone tried this?

Nikon makes one that is cheaper and made of leather, and I think is a much better design. I have one on my D800e.

Also check out the wrist strap from upstrap.com: http://www.upstrap-pro.com/product/SLR-QR-L.html
It works with the RRS,Arca-Swiss, and Novoflex "L" brackets.

Ellis,
The Leica is called a wrist strap, but this type of strap is more commonly called a hand grip strap.
I used a Hasselblad hand grip strap on my Canon 5D MkII, which was very comfortable, but have abandoned Canon since it stupidly refused to come out with a higher megapixel camera.
It seems the Hasselblad hand grip strap is no longer made.

If we're talking hand straps here and we want them to work with RRS plate, I'd recommend the one that they sell. It's kinda buried in their site under miscellaneous parts or some such. I've used this strap on 3 different SLR bodies over the past 6 years or so, and currently use it on D800 with their L plate. It's very comfortable and secure, made out of fine leather and I think at $27 it's nicely priced.
I couldn't be happier with it.
