Still processing the backlog of images from the past few years. I came across this one from last spring that I thought I would share...

Beautiful. Thank you. I can almost hear the North Woods/Lake Country.

Lovely! And one of my favorite birds. I'll never forget the first one I ever saw -- and heard -- hiking many years ago in a remote part of New Brunswick, having come upon a small lake. I heard that eerie call and had no idea what it could be or where it was coming from, until I finally spotted the loon far out on the lake.
Every time I see ot hear one of these again I get the same thrill. Thanks for sharing this beautiful shot.

The combination of sharpness and softness in this shot is wonderful. Your bird shots are all spectacular!

I think this is my favorite of the images you've posted in the past few months. The water looks otherworldly.

Great shot! Composition is fine, detail is wonderful, and the 500 with the 1.4 gives great selective focus.

Really nice shot. There is some sort of vertical line artifact in the reflection that passes near the reflection of the eye. I can't imagine what caused it, but I find it distracting.

Simply reflection from the eye of the bird!
Beeaautiful.

I enjoy the milkiness of the background contrasting with the clarity/sharpness of the bird. Well done.
