Title: DNG Flatfield Plugin - What diffusion filter was used
Post by: misterian on September 21, 2012, 07:05:14 am
My apologies if this is posted somewhere. What filter is recommended to use for this? I assume a reasonably optically consistent one is required. Thanks.

Most people use the one that comes with Phase One / Leaf backs.

There is also one from Capture Integration:

It is down near the bottom under "accessories."

But just about any white sheet of plastic will do.  Color neutral is not that important for this.

$20 worth of great value - not only for obvious Flat Field problems like T/S lenses, but if your lens & camera is not profiled in LR, get one of these and use Eric Chan's FlatField Plugin for an immediate improvement in Image Quality. One LR preset and bingo! (well maybe 2 or 3 presets for various apertures)
