I need a replacement for my DCB160WS battery manufactured by the Digital Camera Battery Company. B & H no longer sells the battery and has replacement. Does anyone know the availability of this battery?
Thanks

I believe they are no longer in business. I tried to contact them 6 months ago for a replacement and there is no listing in Florida for them. I also tried the Chamber of commerce and there was no active listing.
At the time their website was still up, I have not looked to see if it's still there.

Hi Paul:
I did locate their website and found many links (like where to buy) disconnected. The phone did ring but I didn’t expect an answer on Sunday. I will try on Monday and post the answer. I have several of their cables and chargers so I hope the cell replacement service is still available.
Thanks
Phil

I have left phone messages and E=mails over the past several days with no response yet.

If you look hard enough you will find that there are companies out there that can re core the existing batteries that you have.
I have done this with old NiCad baterries that power my Nikon F2AS motor drive. The re cored batteries work very well and hold a charge for a long time.
Happy hunting.

Our local Batteries Plus was able to rebuild DigitalCameraBattery battery packs with no difficulty.

Hi Dave:
Thanks for the info on Battery Plus. Were the replacement cells for the DCB Unit off the shelf items? Do you recall the cost of replacing the cells? Do you have contact info for your local Battery Plus?
Thanks

Phil --
Everything was "off-the-shelf" -- one day turnaround. Don't recall the cost, but it would vary by pack size. The Batteries Plus store I used is in Manassas VA.

Hi Dave:
Good to know that off the shelf replacement cells are available for the DCB.
Thanks

I received a phone call from Tim Dodge of Digital Camera Battery, Inc. The news is that is company is back in business after an absence due to string of family illnesses. I ordered a replacement 160 watt unit.
