Title: Memory card too big? Samsung EX1

I have just ordered a Samsung EX1 for backpacking. I also ordered a 16 GB SDHC card. Now I see that the camera is "guaranteed" to take an 8 GB card.

Will it use the 16 GB at only 8 GB? Or should I buy an 8 GB card?

Just in case anyone comes across this and wonders how it turned out:
the 16 GB card worked fine.
RAW files from the EX1, however, are incompatible with Aperture, so the EX1 is being exchanged for an S100, which also weighs half as much.

My Samsung EX1 works perfectly with a 16 Go card.
