Title: North Shore of Lake Superior Waterfalls
Post by: CampingFamily1 on June 16, 2012, 07:33:41 pm
Here is a link to photos on my new Nikon D5100 of Waterfalls on the North Shore of Lake Superior, shot late May 2012.

The water was flowing fast and full in May 2012 after big rains the nights before we took these photos.  We were dry and safe in our popup camper.

There are also older photos in these albums from prior years, that show a slow flow of water on the waterfalls.

Enjoy the waterfalls from May 2012!

Great shots! I've been experimenting with slow water shots lately, love the second one especially

While considering the entire scene, I'd say that the water effect is slightly overdone in #1.  You might try toning down the foliage, especially in the lower left. I think it would emphasise the water more.

The second image is very nice; it has a evenness to it. You should remove the small twig in the lower foreground.

Always nice to see more of this wonderful area. Superior has always been a favorite of mine although I spend my time on the north side of the lake.

Thanks for posting.

For me, the brown kills it somehow, did you try B&W? Otherwise, I really love the composition of the first one.
Thanks for sharing
