I like the photo but find the colors in the sky a bit too turquoise. I would tweak the white balance to see if things improve.

This is a fine composition during a transitional time of year.
What’s the meaning of the title?
Thanks for the post.

The million dollar highway is the name of the road between Ouray and Silverton (Colorado). I don't remember why it's called that way, probably because construction did cost a lot!

But wouldn't that require the photo to have a road in it? I don't see one.

The title could have been "Along the Million Dollard Highway".

This MIGHT be an answer - back when I was doing environmental inspection for a gas pipeline construction project they estimated it cost a million dollars a mile to put the pipe in the ground, from initial prep to final cleanup. A VERY miniscule portion of that went to my salary! :)

Thanks very much friends! The name has been changed by Francois's request.
This is one of the most famous scenic highways and the name is about historic "Gold mines".

Now a days, if we are to believe the news media, that’s about the cost for sidewalks, providing, of course, they don’t have to build a bridge to put under the sidewalk.

Pretty picture, but I don't see a single dollard.

I believe this is an explanation
"Even the origin of the “Million Dollar” name is clouded in myth. Some say it was first used after an early traveler, complaining of the vertigo-inducing steepness of the route, said, “I wouldn’t go that way again if you paid me a million dollars.” Others claim that it derives simply from the actual cost of paving the route in the 1930s. But the favorite explanation is also the most likely: When the highway was first constructed, the builders used gravel discarded by nearby gold and silver mines, only to find out later that this dirt was actually rich in ore and worth an estimated “million dollars.”

Is there a car behind the last two (three) trees on the right? Perhaps a SUV or alike? (Pajero or similia).
(Excuse my barbaric english)

You have good eyes!

There appear to be 2 tiny amber reflectors that draw attention.

Amber reflectors? thank you! I've learned a new english word ("catarifrangenti" in italian) :).
But I'd rather say they are rear position lamps.

Sooo... the photo isn't ACTUALLY the million whatever road, but a shot taken ALONG SIDE the million whatever road?
Please, if you do have one, could you also post a photo of the road so we can see proof that there actually is a road there? ;D
Thanks.... and thanks for allowing us to tease you about it!! ;)
