Title: relaxing at Grand Canyon

Didn't have much time at the canyon, but this pic seemed
to fit the feel of the day. CF 180mm, 503cw and CFV-50, at about F8, 250th.
With tripod of course...around 2pm.

Pretty hazy.
Pity about the time of day - tends to emphasize the haze.

Yes. Sad though.

I used to live in South Africa and the air pollution in winter especially on what is called the Highveld was absolutely appalling and is probably worse now than it ever was.

Same here in the Swiss Alps. In winter, you can see a layer of smog/haze in the valleys!  :(

Luckily I live in Australia these days.
The sky stays blue in winter!

Guys,
Thanks for the comments. There are fires in the Arizona area, drought conditions too.
so the haze was bad. Wish I could have stayed later when the light would have been
better. Even though, its a great place to hang...

Nicely done!

The human elements puts things in perspective and the haze is fine to add depth and atmosphere.

^Agreed.^ The haze provides a very painterly appearance and that aids the image.

Were it mine, I’d reduce the number of people to 2 – the one with a white shirt sitting on the stone and the one standing to the right of him or her, lighten the foreground shadow area a bit and call it good.

Thanks! The crop completely improves the subject matter,
which is the enormity of the canyon... I am still figuring
how to lighten the rock foreground a bit..
