Title: Behind the Mask
Post by: Matt Tilghman on May 18, 2012, 02:34:30 pm
This was taken a few weeks ago during my trek to North Table Mountain, California.  This is the stream which feeds the amazing Phantom Falls (hence my somewhat cheesy title :) ).  This landscape is just so magical.  Unfortunately there were no clouds in the sky, but we did get one of those spring/summer purple California dusk skies which are so hard to capture.  The wildflowers were not quite peak yet, but there was enough to keep me happy.  Plus, the grass was still so, so green.  All in all, I could not have enjoyed my few hours in this place more.  I hope you like this one.  Personally, it just continues to grow and grow on me

This is a nice, pleasant image, with what appears to be very good processing. I would consider cropping out some of the sky, approaching more of a square composition.

Lovely calm image.

This area obviously has wonderful potential for imagemakers.
I hope you can get back there often.
