Has anyone used the Metabones EF to Nex adaptor? I'm wondering how my lenses (Zeiss ZE21,28,35/2, EF100L, 300/4L IS, 70-200/4LIS) will perform on the Nex7, and how IQ would compare to 5D2?

Clearly not! OK, let me put the question another way - is there any reason why these lenses shouldn't perform equally well on the Nex7, for example, because of the distance from rear element/lens flange to sensor plane?

The distance will be exactly the same as with your Canon dSLRs. That is one of the main purposes of the adaptors, to set the lens at the correct distance for the lens design (the other is to manage the mechanical coupling bits).

You should have no problems as the metabones will allow the aperture to work. You have to manually focus, but with the 11.7x focus assist
it's easy. Make sure you tell the camera to accept non-Sony lenses, it's in the setup menu.
You will have a 1.5 crop factor on the FF Canon lenses, but you should get some great results.

these lenses are all retrofocus design which should theoretically work well on the NEX 7 which does not appear to be tolerant of extreme ray angles of older rangefinder lens design - i would bet they're superior to any of the existing e-mount lenses

The Sony/Zeiss 24, Sony 50, Sigma 19 and Sigma 30 are all very good on the NEX-7. The Sigma 30, in particular, is remarkably sharp. It's probably one of the sharpest lenses from center to corner at all apertures that I've used on any system. In fact, the corners with this lens at f2.8 were sharper than several of my 35mm rangefinder lenses when stopped down. :o
