Thanks for sharing.  I'd be interested in seeing some more images as I am planning a trip to the Big Island next April, 2013.

I'm wondering if there are any dramatic views of the coast accessible by (rental) car, perhaps from the Old Kohala Mill Road to Keawaeli Bay?

  I am not familiar with the venue you wrote about. I spent my time on the North end of the island. There are interesting vistas all around, but as it is the rainy side of the island the conditions are often iffy.

Nicely framed and exposed. Pity about the fence, but never mind.
Interesting sky in a subtle way.

Nice image, the tree is very similar to ones we have here in the UK on the north west coast, at place called Silverdale which overlooks Morecambe Bay.
