The village of Phugaon in central Nepal Himalayas. 3 frame panorama with Panasonic DMC-FX35.

Wow!
This place does not look like it could support a field mouse much less a village of that size!

They grow potatoes and have yaks, but the main business used to be trade to Tibet across the high passes. There is an old fort on the top of the hill, but it is crumbling, and out of some 35 houses only less than ten are now occupied. This was the end of the dry season, during the monsoon the place is a bit greener. Most of the rains do not reach this valley, though, as it is behind the main Himalayan wall, Annapurna massif.

Not many "art pictures" there as I concentrated on video on this trip. Pictures were shot both by me and my wife Tiina with P&S cameras.
