Title: Print to jpeg loses the drop shadow on watermark

I'm trying to create a jpeg file that includes a watermark with a drop shadow.  The watermark is included but without the drop shadow.  I tried this in both Lightroom 3.6 and 4.0 with the same result, so I'm guessing that there's some technical reason for this.  Is this the case?  I can get the drop shadow printing to PDF, but it's a pain as I have to convert the PDF to jpeg and do some other tricks to get the resolution that I want.  In addition, Lightroom 4.0 crashed when I tried printing to PDF, worked fine in 3.6.
