Title: Installing LR4?
Post by: LarsHalstrom on March 20, 2012, 05:16:27 pm
I have the LR3 student teacher edition so I just can't get the upgrade to LR4, I have to buy the LR4 student teacher edition. What do I have to do to get all my LR3 pics into LR4 on my MBP OSX 10.7?

You'd have found the answer more quickly by reading through the LR4 threads here already, but since there's no difference (except cost) with the teacher/ student version vs. the full version, you simply open your LR3.x catalog in LR4 (back up first if you wish) and LR4 will use that to create a new LR4 catalog, leaving your existing LR 3.x catalog untouched.

What I found on another forum was that all I have to do is download the upgrade version of LR4. It's the same $79 price no matter what edition you have. No need to buy the full version at all.

That's true.  I was under the impression you had purchased LR4 and were asking how to upgrade your LR3 catalog.
