This is a great shot that also shows many of the bird's features.  I wonder if the claw on its wrist is a morphological equivalent to the claws on immature hoatzins (also found in S.A., I believe), or if it's simply a new bony outgrowth from that part of its anatomy (I suspect the latter because it doesn't appear to be jointed).
