Title: Reverse Geocoding in LR4
Post by: Stephen Edgar on March 07, 2012, 11:37:54 am
Hi Folks,
I would appreciate any help or advice with to two questions I have with regard to reverse geotagging in LR4

After dragging an image to the map, I note that the GPS coordinates are added to the image and are visible in relevant metadata field.
I have set the catalog to allow reverse geo-tagging and again I note that City, Country data etc is added in the appropriate metadata fields

Is there a reason why the data in the City, Country fields is grey?
Can LR reverse geotag images which already have GPS coordinates embedded in the image?

Thanks in anticipation for any help on this issue

Regards
Stephen

It appears that if lightroom filled in the city, country fields from the GPS coords it denotes the text with light grey. I think you can commit the lookup by clicking on the label text and selecting it (turning the text white). Otherwise, if you fill it in yourself, the text is also white.
