Title: Beta to final version transition

Hi,

Can anyone here (Jeff?) shed some light on whether Lr4 can be installed over the beta?
IOW what is the procedure for a smooth transition?  Cheers.

It will convert your beta catalog just like it will a LR 3 catalog.  It makes a new catalog, so it doesn't affect the existing catalogs.  It also converts your preview file, but does not copy it.

So the recommended procedure would be to: install Lr4, un-install beta, un-install older version if any.

On Windows, installing LR4 seems to get rid of the beta, but leaves in place older versions which don't seem to cause any problems.
