Title: Multiple versions of same Lightroom library
Post by: Gerry Walden on February 27, 2012, 02:14:50 pm
I have had to migrate my LR library from one user on my iMac to another user. I have noticed that I have 4 libraries (i.e. Lightroom 3 Library, Lightroom 3 Library 2, Lightroom 3 Library 3 etc) in my directory, and that they appear to be new versions when LR is upgraded. Am I safe to delete the older libraries when I have checked they are not being used?

Thanks!

Gerry

Yes, and it makes sense to do so, but be very careful to be sure which is your "real" catalogue - and keep backups just in case.

John

Thanks for your reply. I have safely deleted one set of library folders (but kept them in Trash) and will hold fire for a couple of days before deleting the others so that I am 100% sure which are current.

Best wishes

Gerry
