Title: Lichen Mirrored
Post by: Dave (Isle of Skye) on February 14, 2012, 12:37:45 pm
Now for something completely different..

The image is a 280mm macro shot of some very tiny strands of lichen I found growing on a rock. About a week later it was raining hard and all the decorating and painting having already been completed, I had some time on my hands, so not wanting to go out and get wet, I decided to work on the image and then for some reason I mirrored it and ended up with a very highly detailed abstract sort of thingy, that is most interesting and pleasing to look at, is over four foot long, but is of no use what so ever...

Fractals gone wild & what a puzzle that could be!

I think it looks pretty cool. I took the liberty of doing a B&W conversion and I like that even more.

The B/W has more impact, I quite like it.
