Powerful imageā€¦ I like the contrast between the green foreground, the deep blue of the sea and the menacing gray/black mountain. The golden accents on the lower slopes of the mountain add a sense of relief (*)!

What a beautiful, beautiful image, really strong, love the clouds and the mountain at the background!

Nice framing using the hayfield and clouds. Elegant curving beach contrasts with the linear cliff. Etc etc!

Nice scale provided by the house ...but essentially a flat image.

My first impression was that there should be more sky above the mountain in the background. I felt 'cheated' somehow, that it had been cropped to tightly.  A visceral reaction more than an objective assessment.

Mike,

This is deliberate.  I wanted to emphasize the looming mountain over the fjord and farm.  In a wide angle shot of the same scene available at the link to my blog post, I have offered more of the sky.

Thanks for your explanation, Rajan, as I was feeling the same way as Mike. Another beautiful image - thanks for sharing.
