Title: Smugmug or photoshelter
Post by: petermarrek on January 04, 2012, 09:26:22 pm
What advice is out there regarding Smugmug ,photoshelter or zenfolio as a site to sell photos?  which one works? I have personally marketed and sold several thousand printed posters of local scenery but I feel that I have saturated this area after more than 10 years. I would like to expand my horizon and try to offer more services. Would be interested in hearing from people who have used these sites to actually get some returns. Peter

I looked a both, but decided on Zenfolio (http://www.zenfolio.com/ (http://www.zenfolio.com/)). The cost is about the same as Smugmug, but a bit more professional, IMHO.

You can check out my web site at: http://www.budjamesphotography.com (http://www.budjamesphotography.com)

Exposure Manager (http://www.exposuremanager.com/) is probably good to include in the list - it used to have a more complete feature set than anyone else when I picked it for my first (previous) photo website sometime in early 2000s. Don't know how it's now.
