Don't know Silver Salmon Lodge but spent a week at Royal Wolf Lodge a number of years ago. It is about an hour north of King Salmon by float plane.

Was it tips on photography or tips on flyfishing you wanted?

If I was going back to fish Alaska, I would concentrate my photography on bears. You will get some wonderful opportunities to photograph them while fishing (but, if one ambles along the river bank while you are fighting a fish, break it off. The last thing you want bears to learn is that anglers mean salmon.

Excellent location, and I have nothing but great things to say about David and the whole crew there. The grizzlies are there for some great photography, and the guiding couldn't be better.
