Title: Grainy B&W digital
Post by: Chairman Bill on December 26, 2011, 03:30:32 pm
Whilst I loved PanF, I also liked the grainyness of faster B&W films like Tri-X & Ilford Delta 3200. I think that Silver Efex works pretty well in reproducing the grain effects, and gives a sense of age to the results.

C&C welcome

Don't know.. on the younger person's face on the lower image it looks more like reticulation than natural grain.

Have you tried using the Add Noise filter, Gaussian and Monochromatic checked? Works pretty well and is infinitely variable, too.
