I knew this was going to be a powerful image before I even got the camera out of the bag.

The Door

There is something very strong here. A message. But I am not clear on it. Would you mind letting us in on your thought processes with this image a bit?

Hi Jonathan,

It represents religion as a barrier to progress.

Hmm, an interesting concept. Any thoughts on doing a full series like this? Perhaps using other things which may also be barriers to progress such as: war, hatred, selfishness, prejudice etc?

Yes it is an interesting concept, but it was just there and seemed to reflect my thoughts as and when I saw it, I suppose I may do more if I see the opportunity, but I am not going to go looking for it, as I am really a landscape kinda guy, but worried about the amount of turmoil in the world and the apparent increase in dogma.

Thanks for your comments.

all the best

Dave

Love it.  The message is as concise as the photo, too.
