Title: Replace cartridge error (9700)
Post by: Paul Eby on December 15, 2011, 08:41:25 am
I've had these error messages before but in the past through various procedures had been able to rectify it. I now have a cartridge (LLK) that continues to read error.
Any suggestions to clear this? I've tried whacking the cartridge, replacing with a good one then back to problem one, shut down/start up, and even in a different printer. (I have two)
What is Epsons policy on this issue, the cartridge is ~80% full. - Paul

I assume you mean the 7900?  If so, I've had this problem and contacted Epson.  My ink was over a year old and a spokesman said that they only warranty ink cartridges for a year but did me the favor of dealing with my problem.  I mailed the damaged ink cartridge back and then it was replaced in about a week.
Good luck

Yes, meant 7900. I see that the date on my cartridge is 2-11 so I should be safe for return.
