Yes, the hand of man is there.

Admit it... you posted this just so people would try to stumble through 'Palatlakaha' ;D

You caught me, Mike. There's a guy down here in Florida who simply can't pronounce Palatlakaha. Every timehe sees me he tries again but never makes it. The name reminds me of lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg, which supposedly translates as "You fish on your side, I fish on my side, nobody fish in the middle."

Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg,
That's an interesting little name; now that I know it, I wonder if I will get many opportunities for dropping it...

Unfortunately I only have photies on slides (and no scanner) of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch*
*Translates as 'St Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St Tysilio of the red cave'

That lake is in Connecticut, and most folks around there refer to it as "Lake Chug." I'm not certain that Russ has the spelling absolutely right, but he's certainly very close.
