Title: Hot Springs, Arkansas
Post by: Ralph M. Wagner on May 26, 2003, 08:49:32 am
I was in Hot Springs in April.  The best place I found is a place I believe operated by the University of Arkansas called Garvin Woodland Gardens. It is about 210 acres and I believe they are adding a 70 a. bird sanctuary. It is south on Hwy 128 (Carpenter Dam Rd) on the shores of Lake Hamilton. Do a web search, you'll probably find something. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it did not open until 8 - 8:30AM  (I like shooting in first light) and I was there a little to early in the season, but other than that it was quite nice. Also downtown (tho old part on Hwy 7) has some quaint scenes worth shooting, if your into that. Regards - RW

I'll be in the Hot Springs area the week of June 16.  Any locations recommended for outdoor photography?  Thanks for your time.
