Title: How to show focusing point in DPP?
Post by: Mark F on October 15, 2011, 10:53:48 am
I need to check where my Canon is focusing on a bunch of images. I use LR3 as my editing software but one of its shortcomings (IMO) is that it does not show the exact focusing point used by the camera. I remember when I first got my Canon and installed DPP that there was a small red box in each image at the focusing point.  But when I opened DPP now (after not having used it for several years) the red box is gone. I cannot find anything in preferences or the view menu to turn that feature on. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

You won't find it on the thumbnail page. Open a single image in either the "Edit Image" page (button at the left end of the tool bar) or "Image" window (double click on the thumbnail) and it will be View/AF Point or Alt+L.

Thanks. I knew it had to be somewhere.
