I'm instigating a studio tour for our area and looking for a framework to build it upon. Is there anyone here that has organized or participated in a successful studio tour? The tour will consist of various artists and artisans with everything from pottery and photography to painting and sculpture. I'm looking for ideas on recruiting artists and sponsors and the general organization of such an event as well as time of year, juried or invitational (basically an application to show) or other ideas that have or have not worked - and why.
