Title: Zeiss ZF 50mm f/1.4

     I have had this lens for about a year now. Some time ago the lens hood became unusable on the lens. The hood will not lock onto the lens. I wrote to Zeiss about this and they said that sometime the locking mechanism? gets knocked out of place and said to take a small screwdriver and try to push it back into position. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?

I had a problem with my 100mm when it was new. I force the hood the wrong way and moved the locking mechanism. I managed to realign the locking mechanism with a screw driver.
