Title: sharpening for canvas
Post by: Jeremy Roussak on August 18, 2011, 11:56:54 am
I'm about to have my first print made on canvas (Breathing Colour Chromata White Archival). I have the image in LR and plan to export it as a TIFF for uploading to the printer's site.

It's going to be 20"x44" and resolution will be just under 300dpi. What output sharpening settings should I use?

TIA

Jeremy

You may have to take this up with your printer as everyone does things differently.
If you were sending the tiff to my printmaking studio I would want it creative sharpened and thats it.
We print through Lightroom and the output sharpning is done at our end before sending to print.
For canvas printing we normally use high with the very ocassional standard.

If you do want to do it yourself when exporting probably matt paper and high.

Thanks. I'll give them a ring and ask!
