Title: Some DNGs with Stouffer wedge posted
Post by: ErikKaffehr on August 11, 2011, 12:20:02 am
Hi,

I posted shots from Stouffer wedge from two of my cameras  (both having Sony Exmoor sensors). The cameras were Alpha 900, three years old and Sony Alpha 55 SLT

Two exposures made for each:

First exposure adjusted so I don't get blinking highlights on step 10, step 1-9 covered.
Second exposure the whole wedge shown

I plan to do some more analysis, but first impression is that there is about 1.5 step latitude for ETTR

Also I have found that it seems that LR cannot handle the whole dynamic range except with either

- resorting to excessive "fill light"
- or using graduated filter (which is quite effective)

This is not a calibrated wedge.

Best regards
Erik
