Anyone seeing any problem with mounting 30x40 Epson Lustre prints to 3/16" Gatorboard with dry mount tissue? I have a vacu-press. They will be framed with a standard metal frame. No glass. Its for a one time art show. Suggestions on a dry mount tissue? Not a lot to choose from at 30" it seems.

I've never had any trouble. I'd suggest Encore Fusion 4000. Another option is Drytac Trimount. Both come in rolls that would easily accommodate a 30x40" print.
Make sure you weight the print/gatorboard combo down with a sheet of glass or something similar to prevent bowing as it cools down.

Also consider ragmount by Bienfang. I have used this many times on gator. For some reason the black gator works better for me. Ragmount is just a bit heavier weight and adds a nice layer between the gator and print.

Thanks for the suggestions. I also found Pro-mount from PrintMount.com http://www.printmount.com/tissue.htm

Doing both canvas and Luster up to 40x60 on heat-activated foamboard. Do a search on Google to find it, but not having to deal with sheets of tissue in mounting large prints makes finishing a breeze!
The heat-activated board we're using is low temp, so it takes a few minutes in the press to get a good tack. Even running the larger images in sections with this board is a pleasure, though it takes some time to do a piece this large.

I'm using KoolTack. Was using RagMount before but the KoolTack has a fraction of the dwell time of everything else. 30 seconds once the press has reached full pressure and you're done and the temp is 150-160ยบ vs. 180-190 for RagMount. You'll have to buy a case of the stuff to use it though, it's not a separately sold adhesive, it's sprayed on to the foam core itself (which is REALLY nice). They use Artcare Archival for the foam board (which I prefer over Gator, this is what I'm using in my lab for mounted prints).
Cheers, Joe

we use kooltac foam core but for gator we often use a product called polymount, which is basically a thin plastic that melts. We get it from CMI moulding although they don't show it in their online database, but it works very well, better than mounting tissues.
