Hi all,
I recently took a spare of the moment 130km trip north of Adelaide to Bumbunga Lake, and old Salt Field.
During the trip, I managed to capture this:

Your feedback is appreciated.

The juxtaposition of the bright sky over the mine opening is a good composition; the tonality reminds me of ilford XP2. The vignetting and burning in/darkening of the top of the near pillar and side of the shaft are a bit heavy handed, I'd dodge it a bit so it was more in sync with the far pillar, and not so evident against the bright sky.
For an empty and desolate scene, it has a lot of drama!

Generally I agree with what was given. If I was going to be really picky I'd remove the chip of wood from the bottom right corner and the grass stem (looks like a hair on a negative would look). I like the perspective, though - as if the sky had exploded behind the sign.
Mike.
