Title: B&W still life
Post by: candide on May 11, 2011, 07:10:09 pm
Here's something I took the other day with my new Fujifilm X100. A remarkable little camera, despite its many quirks.

I like this. The composition works for me and the chiaroscuro lighting is quite nice.

I agree. And the background has just enough detail to give a sense of depth to the scene.

Is there another image in the frame that be created by c******g a section around the the top of the flower and just below the light areas above the dishes? The image is very good as it is but I feel there is something else there as well. :)

Nope. What you're seeing is just the uneven sunlight that was streaming in from the window.

How odd: I'd written a post in this thread yesterday, but it has vanished. Maybe I forgot to hit Post. Anyway, it was this:

"A remarkable little camera"

Nope, a remarkable little photograph.

Thank you all for your remarks. I love taking pictures, I just wish I had more "free" time to devote to it.
